Who We Are

Partners in Prevention has grown and developed since 1991 as a community coalition.  Through involvement of the entire community, we are working to create an environment in which young people can grow up healthy, responsible and drug-free.

What We Do

Partners in Prevention has an array of community based programs and committees.  The Mentoring Program provides one-to-one mentoring to children and youth in the greatest need through Forever Friends and Co-Pilots.  The Mentoring Program is available to students in Longview, Pine Tree, Spring Hill, Hallsville, Kilgore and White Oak ISDs.  The Youth Action Committee is open to any 8th - 12th grade student seeking volunteer and leadership opportunities.  Longview Bridges Out of Poverty provides "Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin' by World" sessions for low-income families striving toward self-sufficiency.  Other committees within Partners in Prevention include:  Coalition for Drug-Free Youth; East Texas Anti-Trafficking Team; Longview Bridges Out of Poverty Steering Committee; and Unity and Diversity Committee
